q      BINDERS Students have the choice of carrying 2 large 3” binders  (one for morning classes and one for afternoon classes) or keeping a smaller  1” binders for each class

q      Pencil case with the following items (to be brought to all classes each day)

o     Black pens

o     Pencils

o     Erasers

o     Colored pencils

o     Highlighters

o     Hand pencil sharpener

 

English Language Arts

q      Student binder: Either a section of a large binder or a binder for this class (May not be a folder or accordion file, must be a 3 ring binder)

o     Five dividers for student binder (these 5 dividers are specifically for ELA, not for another subject)

o     White-lined loose-leaf paper (not a spiral bound notebook)

o     2 pocket folder (with holes to keep in binder – can be hole punched by hand)

q      Writing binder: a one inch binder to be kept in the classroom for writing portfolio  (This binder is not needed for Mrs. DeHenre’s 8th grade students)

o     Five dividers for writing binder

o     2 pocket folder (with holes to keep in binder – can be hole punched by hand)

q      3 packs of 3 x 5 lined white index cards

q      Supplies for projects (to be kept at home)

o     Construction paper

o     Poster boards

q      Optional (but helpful) Items

o     Copy of the novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

o     Dictionary for at home use

q      Items that could be used in the classroom (bring in to ELA teacher for free homework pass)

o     Tissues

o     Hand sanitizer

o     Any extras of the items listed above

o     Stretchy book cover for large books

o     Quart-sized, freezer, zip-lock bags

 

Science

q      Student binder: Either a section of a large binder or a binder for this class (May not be a folder or accordion file, must be a 3 ring binder)

o     2 pocket folder (with holes to keep in binder – can be hole punched by hand)

q      3 composition books

q      colored pencils or markers

q      Items needed for donation (for in class use)

o     Tissues

o     Box tops clipped from food items (turn in to science teacher)

q      3 to 5 subject spiral notebook
